                               Serving boards

I create a board when I come across a worthy piece of hardwood with an unusual grain pattern.

Serving Boards are beautiful enough to display on their own but servicable enough for use for serving your favorite hors d'ouveres to friends and family.

Each board is finished with a sealer, then foodsafe polyurethane, and

finally crystal clear wax.  When the finish has dried the board is safe to use with food.

Boards are sized based upon the availability of woods.

When it fits the design I inlay open knots, voids, and cracks with red coral or minerals like turquoise, chrysocolla, azurite, lapis, or pipestone.

Pricing varies based on wood species, inlay material, and size.

If you have a particular favorite wood contact me and I can design and fabricate a unique board for you.

Look close and you will see an actual walnut trapped in the board - look in the upper right.

A walnut fell into the crotch of this walnut tree, was grown over in time.

It survived the lumberjack chainsaw, the lumbermill bandsaw, and the mill's belt sander. We kept it intact and filled the surrounding voids with a chip inlay of chrysocolla.
